Laura Innocenti

Video Game Localizer

Native language: Italian
Localizes from English

I’m a professional English to Italian translator, proofreader and localizer with 5-year experience in the video game industry.

I firstly worked in-house at the localization department of Nintendo of Europeinitially as a QA Tester, then as a Translator and finally as a Localization Quality Specialist.

Among the titles I’ve worked on, are Paper Mario: Sticker Star, Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Fantasy Life.

I then moved on to freelancing. I’ve translated and proofread games and apps of various genres, including RPGs, strategy, puzzles, casual and casino/gambling – for PC, consoles and mobile devices.

Titles include Magic Rampage (Asantee Games) and Mini Metro (Dinosaur Polo Club).

I am used to translating and proofreading marketing/promotional material, app store descriptions, website and blog content, tech specs, and manuals.

With regard to in-game text, I am comfortable dealing with tag-heavy strings, strict character limitations, and those pesky item lists…

I can perform linguistic testing of your game or app on Android or PC.
